CHEF Benefits Program

Today, ACF offers its members more benefits with more tangible economic advantages than ever before. Benefits that are tailored to the unique circumstances of the profession...and they are portable! Chefs have one of the highest mobility rates of any profession, and those practicing culinary careers need benefit programs that can move when opportunity and advancement call!

Travel and Accident Insurance Coverage
A $25,000 death and dismemberment benefit covers members while they travel to and from ACF meetings or business. In addition, there is a coordinate accidental medical plan that offers coverage up to $5,000 (with a deductible) for members while traveling to and from ACF meetings or business-related functions.

Complimentary Term Life Insurance
Automatically as part of your membership dues package, the policy provides a $5,000 death benefit for every member in good standing under age 65. For members age 65 through 69, the policy provides a $2,500 death benefit, and for those 70 and over, a $1,000 benefit. Our coverage with Canada Life Assurance Company expires when a member reaches age 70. At that point, ACF provides a death benefit of $1,000.00 for members in good standing.

Dental Insurance
This is a managed care program for members and their families. It is also a portable, comprehensive dental plan which offers a high level of benefits that emphasize preventative care and maintenance. Participating dentists are usually located within a fifteen mile radius of the homes of most ACF members.
